Near-term prospects have improved with growth rebounding and the fiscal deficit set to narrow this year. Renewed fiscal easing and political uncertainty could test market confidence ahead of the 2011 parliamentary elections, however. Risks will be contained and growth prospects improved if a new IMF program is agreed this year.
