How do I know that my registration is confirmed?

Within five (5) business days of submitting your registration, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration and providing you with additional details regarding the event. If you do not receive confirmation of registration within five (5) business days, please contact us at meetings@iif.com.


Is a photo required for registration?

Yes. Your registration is not complete without a passport size, color photo in JPEG format. Please e-mail your photo to photos@iif.com before September 7, 2012.


When will I receive the Program Agenda?

Details regarding the Program Agenda, including confirmed speakers, will be released on our Web site as those details become available. Please click here for more information.

Is there a list of all registered participants for the IIF 30th Anniversary Membership Meeting?

We do not share information regarding registered participants as that information is confidential and continues to change throughout the registration period. However, a list of participants will be available during the meeting in Tokyo.


I need a visa to travel to the meeting. How do I obtain a visa?

If you have not already done so, we urge you to apply for a visa immediately to provide adequate time to receive approval. Due to the overlap with the IMF/World Bank meetings, there is an extremely high demand for visa support to Japan and there for it would be prudent to apply for your visa as soon as possible. All inquiries regarding visa requirements should be directed to your local consulate or travel agent.


How can the IIF help with the visa process?

The IIF can only issue an official invitation letter which could be used in the visa application process. The IIF is unable to intervene on behalf of meeting participants in the visa process.


Please note that we require that you send us a passport size, color photo in JPEG format of your spouse/guest to photos@iif.com. Spouses/guests will not have access to the meeting venue without an IIF-issued photo ID badge.


Is there a spouse/guest tour program?

We have prepared a special tour program for registered spouses and guests on Friday, October 12 (see description and registration form here). The tour is free of charge but requires pre-registration to attend. Space is limited and subject to availability so you must complete the registration form and return it to us by email at meetings@iif.com no later than Wednesday, September 26 to ensure your spouse or guest will be guaranteed a space. Please note that priority for the tour is given to members and their spouses/guests. Non-members and their guests will be accommodated as space permits.


How do I make a hotel reservation?

Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and hotel accommodations. A list of Tokyo hotels is available here. Please note that the IIF is not affiliated with any of the hotels mentioned. This list was prepared for your convenience only, and was based on the information we received that they may still have room availability as of September 12th. In addition, the IIF does not have any control of hotel rates, policies and availabilities, therefore, please contact the hotel directly if you would like to reserve rooms in any of these hotels.


Will I be sent meeting materials ahead of the meeting in Tokyo?

No. All meeting materials, including the IIF-issued photo ID badges, will be available for pick-up on site in Tokyo.


May I collect registration materials on behalf of my delegation in Tokyo?

Yes. If you would like to pick up the registration materials on behalf of your delegation or on behalf of another participant, please be prepared to present the registration confirmation number and a copy of a government-issued ID (passport, driver's license) for each participant for whom you plan to collect registration materials.

The IIF cannot release registration materials to anyone other than the registered participant without presentation of the registration confirmation number and a copy of a government-issued photo ID.


What is the proper attire for the event?

Business attire is appropriate for all meeting sessions and meals.


Does the IIF provide airport transportation?

No, the IIF does not provide airport transportation. Participants are responsible for their own travel and pick-up arrangements.


If I have special dietary needs, who should I contact?

If you have special dietary needs or are a vegetarian, please send us an e-mail at meetings@iif.com at your earliest convenience so that we may communicate that information to our caterers.
