The 2012 IIF Annual Meeting of Latin America Chief Executives, hosted by Itaú Unibanco S/A, will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on March 6-8. Building on last year’s successful meeting in Panama, we expect this event to be a productive and enjoyable opportunity for financial leaders in the region to come together to share insights and discuss issues of concern. The program will feature expert discussions and keynote speakers including public officials at the highest levels. We hope you will be able to join us in 2012 for this event. We also encourage participants to bring their spouse or a guest, who will be able to enjoy the beauty of the city and its surroundings. Itaú Unibanco S/A will be providing a special tour of the city’s historical sites for spouses and guests.

The meeting will start on Tuesday, March 6 with a dinner followed by a keynote address. The program will continue on Wednesday with a full day of discussions, lunch, and a banquet dinner. The meeting will conclude on Thursday with a half-day of sessions and an informal lunch. The program will focus on several issues of vital interest to CEOs in the region including: the European sovereign debt crisis and spillover effects into Latin America, economic and political developments in the U.S., the outlook for commodity prices, the impact of global regulatory tightening on financial institutions, and the growing role of China in Latin America. In addition to key banking leaders from throughout Latin America, senior government officials and experts from the global economic and financial communities will attend.
