October 7, 2011 — This Executive Program was designed to concisely equip those involved in risk oversight along with the Treasury function with the latest knowledge and industry sound practices to help them effectively carry out their roles. Relevant issues were addressed through presentations using case studies and very interactive discussions. Underpinning all the topic presentations were discussion sessions with the participants to share sound practices and to exchange insights on matters affecting individual markets.

September 15, 2011 — This program provided the senior-level executives an insightful discussion on the key issues that affect risk management in banks in Latin America. On the core issues of risk and business strategy, risk governance, and risk appetite, the tailored presentations and ensuing discussions addressed what senior risk executives commonly face and served as a platform to have a free flowing exchange of insights and dilemmas of their own.

June 24, 2011 — This four-day program started with a broad overview of the recent developments in the industry, along with the growing trends that impact current private banking and wealth management business practices. Then building on this knowledge, the topics focused sharply on the key financial—credit, market and liquidity—risk management issues that are now faced by banks in Brazil. Expert risk speakers with banking experience in the region addressed the issues from a practical perspective, including validation and implementation approaches.

October 2, 2010 — This five-day Executive Program was aimed at CFOs, Treasury executives, and senior risk officers. The program focused on Treasury risk management in the post-crisis environment and included workshops, panel discussions, case studies, and institutional visits in New York City to leading financial services firms.
Executive Program on Private Banking & Wealth Management (2010)
June 25, 2010 — The program was the fourth Private Banking and Wealth Management program offered by the IIF. It focused on new emerging business practices in the post-crisis era and involved intense classroom training and included visits to and interactions with the leading firms in private banking and wealth management in Switzerland.
Tailored Program for Turkey on Risk Management (2010)
May 27, 2010 — This program, offered in cooperation with the Banks Association of Turkey (BAT) and the Association of Capital Market Intermediary Institutions of Turkey (TSPAKB), was targeted to middle management and professionals in risk management. The program addressed a return to basics in risk management and emerging best practices with a special focus on the Turkish market.

November 19, 2009 — This four-day Executive Program was organized in cooperation with Standard Chartered and was held November 16-19 in London. The program was attended by a cross-section of senior risk practitioners from 19 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South America, and Africa. Participants focused on key lessons to be drawn from the current crisis and the role of and input in of risk managers in aligning strategy and risk and engaged in a lively exchange of their own risk management experiences.
Private Banking and Wealth Management (2009)
June 30, 2009 — This was the third Private Banking and Wealth Management program offered by the IIF. It followed and was similar to the two very successful programs held in 2007 and 2008. It differed, however, in two important aspects. First, it was somewhat short but a very intensive program (an 8-day program). Second, while it covered the key topics in private banking such as client acquisition and retention, new products and pricing, relationship management, and regulatory and tax issues, the emphasis was on deepening participants' understanding of the risk and liquidity characteristics of the products and their use, as well as helping them, through case studies and interaction with practitioners in the field, be more effective in the current challenging environment than ever before.
