Private Banking and Wealth Management (2009)

June 30, 2009 — This was the third Private Banking and Wealth Management program offered by the IIF. It followed and was similar to the two very successful programs held in 2007 and 2008. It differed, however, in two important aspects. First, it was somewhat short but a very intensive program (an 8-day program). Second, while it covered the key topics in private banking such as client acquisition and retention, new products and pricing, relationship management, and regulatory and tax issues, the emphasis was on deepening participants' understanding of the risk and liquidity characteristics of the products and their use, as well as helping them, through case studies and interaction with practitioners in the field, be more effective in the current challenging environment than ever before.
