Kazushi Shimizu

Kazushi is head of Sustainability Solutions Dept. for Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd. and has more than 20 years’ experience in Debt Capital Market. He has been responsible for many Japanese bond issuers such as corporations and FILP agencies. Since 1998, Kazushi has originated and executed numerous public bond issuances across the wide range of sectors. In recent years, he has contributed to Daiwa’s efforts in the field of Green /Social / Sustainability Bonds. Kazushi has dedicated himself to formulating new systems and regulations for Green /Social / Sustainability Bonds in Japan. He is a member of the committee on the revision of the Green Bond Guidelines 2017 developed by the Ministry of Environment of Japan. Kazushi holds the Bachelor of Law from Nagoya University and is a Certificate-holder Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®.
