Yasuhiko Ushikubo is the Senior Executive Officer in charge of Group Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of Research & Consulting Unit in Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. Since his appointment as a Group Chief Sustainability Officer in September 2022, he is responsible for the group-wide sustainability related policy and strategy planning and the promotion of sustainable business by gathering expertise and enhancing cooperation across the group.
He has broad experience in Mizuho group including relationship manager for domestic large corporate clients and as an economist specialized in macroeconomic both in and outside Japan. He also worked at the Mizuho Bank Industry Research Department for 8 years, including a career as the department head.
He graduated from Faculty of Economics, Hitotsubashi University.
