Sarah Reppchen

Sarah Reppchen has over 15 years of experience working on requirements resulting from the BCBS Basel III regime and related matters with global Financial Institutions and Regulators. She specializes advising and auditing global financial institutions, their Finance, Risk and Compliance Functions on matters relating to Capital Adequacy, Liquidity, Credit and Market Risk. ​Sarah represents Deloitte Canada at the global “Deloitte Basel III Steering Committee” that discusses global Basel III regulatory and industry trends and potential implications resulting from regulatory divergence on global financial institutions. Sarah’s primary experience was generated on large, complex banks (G-SIBs, D-SIBs) and investment management firms in Canada, US and Europe. Among her areas of focus are to provide strategic advice, implementation and delivery support as well as independent assessments of regulatory capital and liquidity frameworks and policies, Basel III regulatory reporting adequacy and risk management governance. Sarah qualifies as German CPA (IFAC compliant). ​Sarah works with the first, second, and third line of defense including the Board of Directors, assisting financial institutions in a highly complex risk and regulatory environment with complex organizational structures. She also assists Supervisory Authorities in their own digital transformations as well as with audits of global Financial Institutions concerning regulatory compliance and risk governance.
