IIF Names Gene Ma Chief Economist for China

Washington, D.C., November 22, 2016 -
The Institute of International Finance today announced that Gene Ma has been named Chief Economist for China.
'
Ma most recently served as China Economist and Strategist at Tudor Investments, where he managed the analysis of data, policies, regulations, and markets. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of ISI Group and led the company's China research.'

"With Gene's extensive experience in dealing with both domestic and international economic' issues related to China, he will be an important addition to our research team," said Tim Adams, president and CEO of the IIF.'

"Gene brings to the IIF incredible expertise and knowledge of the key economic issues affecting China and the global economy," said Charles Collyns, managing director and chief economist.' "He will provide valuable insights for our members in an evolving global macroeconomic landscape."

Ma started on November 21 and is based at the IIF's Washington, D.C. headquarters. He reports to Mr. Collyns.
