IIF Statement on the Passing of Mike Bradfield

August 02, 2017

Washington, D.C., August 2, 2017 - The Institute of International Finance today released the following statement on the passing of Mike Bradfield, who served as the IIF's General Counsel and Board Secretary between 1989 and 2009.

"The IIF family is saddened to hear of Mike Bradfield's passing. Mike played a key role in helping to guide the Institute for more than 20 years. Among many other contributions to the IIF, Mike helped organize the Institute's Committee on Market Best Practices in the wake of the global financial crisis to recommend reforms to make the global financial system safer and sounder. Mike was also a dedicated public servant, having served at the Treasury Department, Federal Reserve and, ultimately, as general counsel at the FDIC. Mike's counsel and kindness to all who worked with him will be sorely missed. The IIF sends its deepest sympathies to his wife, Inai, and his entire family at this difficult time."
