IIF Welcomes Three New Board Members

Washington D.C., October 11, 2013 - The Institute of International Finance (IIF) today welcomed three new members of the Board of Directors: Dr. Yahya Alyahya, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf International Bank; Daniel Pinto, Co-CEO, Corporate & Investment Bank, JPMorgan; and Takashi Tsukamoto, Chairman, Mizuho Financial Group.

Dr. Yahya Alyahya is Chief Executive Officer of Gulf International Bank. Previously, Dr. Alyahya served on the Board of The World Bank Group as Executive Director representing Saudi Arabia from 1999 to 2006. During that period he served in many capacities, including Dean of the Executive Directors and Chairman of the Board Steering Committee, Chairman of the Personnel Committee and Member of the Budget Committee, Vice Chairman of the Audit Committee and Member of the Governance Committee. Prior to that Dr. Alyahya served as Advisor to the Governor, Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, General Manager of E.A. Juffali & Bros. in Riyadh, Founder and Director General, The Institute of Banking, SAMA, in Riyadh, Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Kind Saud University, Riyadh and the University of Michigan, USA (83-86). Dr. Alyahya has also served on the Boards and Board Committees of many organizations. He holds a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The University of Michigan.

Daniel Pinto is CEO of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and co-CEO of J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank. Mr. Pinto has spent his career at J.P. Morgan and its predecessor companies. Mr. Pinto began his career at Manufacturers Hanover in 1983 as a financial analyst and foreign exchange trader in Buenos Aires. In 1992, Mr. Pinto was appointed head of Sales for Chemical Bank in Buenos Aires, responsible for clients in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Shortly after, Mr. Pinto became head trader and Treasurer of Chemical Bank in Mexico. Mr. Pinto moved to London in 1996 to oversee local markets in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia for Chase Manhattan. Mr. Pinto holds a bachelor's degree in Public Accounting and in Science in Business Administration from Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora in Buenos Aires.

Takashi Tsukamoto is Chairman of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. and Chairman of Mizuho Bank, Ltd. He has been serving as Chairman of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. as well as President and CEO of Mizuho Bank, Ltd. since June 2011 until he took present position in July 2013. Mr. Tsukamoto's previous positions at Mizuho include President & CEO of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. Deputy President and CFO of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc., Deputy President of Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., Managing Director & CFO of Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., Managing Executive Officer and Head of EMEA of Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd.. Mr. Tsukamoto previously worked for The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Ltd. Mr. Tsukamoto obtained his Bachelor's degree in Law from Kyoto University in 1974 and MBA from Harvard Business School in 1982.
