The Big Questions: Ep. 4 - How Operational Resilience Helped Keep Firms Open During COVID-19

On this special episode of the Big Questions, we're looking back on a conversation between Jan Bellens, a partner and Global Banking & Capital Markets Sector Leader at EY in New York, and Martin Boer of the Institute of International Finance, which was originally recorded as part of the IIF's Global Regulatory Update podcast.

The two discuss the relatively new concept of “Operational Resilience” - which has been defined as the ability of firms to identify, detect, protect, adapt and respond to, as well as recover and learn from, operational disruptions. Host Dylan Riddle expands on their conversation, explaining how this relatively new field answered one of his own 'big questions' at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
