Amin Khairy from CIB Egypt and Chad Harper from the Visa Economic Empowerment Institute join us on this episode of FRT to discuss their efforts in promoting inclusion through digitalization, having both been recently spotlighted in the IIF’s new series on inclusion. Amin’s work at CIB Egypt focuses on harnessing the mindset shift from branches to devices and using this shift to include un- and under-banked populations, especially those living in rural areas, into the formal economy through device-driven banking. Chad discusses VEEI’s latest research report on global digital remittances, using digital money movement as a way to discuss and improve upon overall global digital enablement. Both Amin and Chad discuss the need for end-to-end digital enablement, with the many linkages between their own work highlighting the global and holistic approach needed for successful and sustainable inclusion efforts.
