Boban Markovic is a Research Analyst in the Africa – Middle East Department. Prior to joining IIF Markovic worked at Delos Asset Management, Cayman Islands based hedge fund, and served as the representative to the Board of Trustees at American University in Bulgaria. Boban is a founder of Zivid Ventures, CFA candidate, an occasional contributor to Fair Observer. He is a proud recipient of President Obama’s Volunteer Service Award and a member of the Chatham House - the Royal Institute of International Affairs. His focus of interest includes fiscal consolidation, new financial instruments, and emerging markets.
Boban holds Master in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies. He received undergraduate degree as a Presidential Medalist, Magna Cum Laude, from American University in Bulgaria with a double major in Political Science and Business Administration. Boban is fluent in Serbian, English and Russian.
