Yuanliu Hu is an Associate Economist in the Asia/Pacific Department. He supports the production of the wide range of publications offered by the department, including Weekly Insight, Capital Flows to Emerging Markets Report, and various EM Asia Research Notes. Prior to his current role, Yuanliu was a Research Assistant in the Capital Markets Department at the IIF. He also interned at Everbright Securities with the wealth management team in Hangzhou, China.
Education
Yuanliu is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and holds two master’s degrees in Applied Economics and Sports Management from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to that, he studied Finance and Management in Zhejiang University, Hangzhou.
