Sam LaRussa is a Senior Research Analyst in the Economic Research department. His work focuses on macroeconomic developments in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa. Prior to joining the IIF Sam spent four years in the Debt Policy Division of the IMF working on sovereign debt sustainability in low-income countries. His areas of interest include sustainable development, inequality, and international aid.
Education
Sam received a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the University of Rochester in 2012, and earned a certificate in mathematical modeling in political science and economics.
