Chris Fulghum

Managing Director

Chris Fulghum is the Managing Director of Global Events at the IIF, where he works with his team to help IIF members convene and connect with clients, peers and policy makers from around the world.

Chris brings twenty-five years of experience in the events industry to producing events for the IIF. The global events team manages the IIF’s flagship Annual Membership Meeting (AMM) which is held in parallel to the World Bank/International Monetary Fund’s Annual Meeting each October. In addition, the team executes the IIF’s in-person, online, and hybrid event portfolio including the Spring Membership Meeting (SMM), regional meetings, colloquia, fora, and other smaller programs throughout the year. Chris oversees a department that assists with agenda and program development, speaker management, event sponsorship and marketing, attendee registration and event design, logistics and production.

Prior to joining the IIF, he was Senior Director of Events, Strategy and Development at Hargrove. Among his many notable projects, Chris served as lead account executive for the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, headed the account team for the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky and helped produce three Presidential Inaugurations as the official contractor. Over his years in the event industry, Chris has worked with a diverse client base that spans the political and business spectrum. Clients have included the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, the Republican National Committee, GE, Accenture and multiple trade unions.

Education

Chris holds a B.A. in Economics and French from Hampden-Sydney College.
