Garbis Iradian is in charge of Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, and GCC. Previous to the IIF he worked at the International Monetary Fund, Washington DC. While there he held the positions of senior economist, IMF resident representative, and senior advisor to an Executive Director where he monitored and assessed macroeconomic and financial developments of several Middle Eastern and Central Asian economies.

Education

Mr. Iradian received his BBA from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, his MBA from the same and his PhD in Economics, with emphasis on macroeconomics, and econometrics, from the University of Freiburg, Germany. He is fluent in Arabic, English, French and German and has published several articles and working papers, including: "What Explains the Rapid Growth in Transition Economies", IMF Staff Paper, November 2009.
