Senior Research Analyst

Rodrigo joined the IIF as a senior research analyst in 2018. Previously, he worked at the International Monetary Fund as a research analyst for the North America Division. He took part in several research projects involving financial deepening, income distribution and labor productivity. Before the IMF, he worked in the Research Department at the Inter-American Development Bank where he focused on macroeconomics, with emphasis on the credibility of inflation regimes in Latin America, sovereign debt restructurings, and commodity prices. He has also worked at Mexico's Central Bank as the BIS contact person for the Locational and the Consolidated Banking Statistics.

Education

Mr. Mariscal holds a M.A. in economics from El Colegio de Mexico (2008) and a B.A. in economics from the UNAM (2006).
