Boban Markovic is an Associate Economist, covering emerging markets with a special focus on the Middle East region. Prior to joining IIF, Markovic worked at Delos Asset Management, the Cayman Islands-based hedge fund, and served as the representative to the Board of Trustees at American University in Bulgaria. His focus of interest includes capital flows to emerging markets, sovereign wealth funds, fiscal consolidation, and the oil market. Boban Markovic is an Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor and a level II CFA candidate. He is also a proud recipient of President Obama’s Volunteer Service Award.
Education
Boban holds Master in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies. He received an undergraduate degree as a Presidential Medalist, Magna Cum Laude, from American University in Bulgaria with a double major in Political Science and Business Administration. Boban is fluent in Serbian, English, and Russian.
