Financial Economist

Celso joined the IIF in 2016. He contributes to the production of various publications, focusing on portfolio allocation and capital flows.

After starting his career in banking, Celso served as a Senior Analyst at the Central Bank of Brazil, where he managed the foreign reserves, specializing in the US and European bond markets. Celso also supported monetary policy implementation, researching Inflation Targeting Regimes in EM and analyzing G-7 financial spillovers into Brazil.

Education

Celso is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and holds a Master’s degree from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, where he completed the Program in Economic Policy Management (PEPM). He also holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
