Comment Letters

The IIF regularly submits comment letters and consultation responses to global standard-setting bodies and other authorities on regulatory and policy topics critical to the financial services industry – including on sustainable finance, international capital and liquidity standards for banks and insurers, resolution, non-bank financial intermediation, accounting standards, combatting financial crime, operational resilience, cyber security, crypto-assets, and other topics. These comment letters reflect a consensus view of IIF members and aim to ensure that industry input and innovations are fully considered by global standard setters.

Comment letters are regularly submitted to the Financial Stability Board (FSB), Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Financial Action Task Force (FATF), and other authorities, including key jurisdictions around the world.
