We were delighted to host the EY-IIF 2021 Report on Global Bank Risk Management Priorities event, which featured EY financial practice leaders Sonja Koerner, EY Global Banking and Capital Markets Risk Leader, Chris Woolard, Chair, EY Global Regulatory Network, and Mark Watson, EY Americas Financial Services Organization Center for Board Matters Deputy Leader, for a discussion of current bank risk management practices and priorities going forward, including in the areas of climate change, credit risk and cybersecurity.

Following introductory remarks from IIF Managing Director for Regulatory Affairs Andrés Portilla, attendees head an overview of the main findings of the 11th Annual EY/IIF Global Bank Risk Management Survey, which includes responses from 88 financial institutions across 33 countries. This year’s survey built on the prior 10 by providing a window into what changed in risk management globally over the past 18 months due to COVID-19, and the major risks and opportunities over the next decade related to building a truly resilient bank. IIF Director for Regulatory Affairs Martin Boer then moderated a panel discussion with the presenters.
