We were pleased to have you join us for our Mainstreaming Sustainable Finance Roundtable in Washington D.C. on April 12 for a lively discussion with policymakers and the private sector financial community. Now in its fifth year, this gathering, co-organized by the Institute of International Finance, Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Paulson Institute, the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), offered a unique and collaborative forum to find answers and share perspectives on the rapidly expanding field of sustainable finance.

Nowhere has this expansion been more apparent than in policy initiatives like the Central Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System, the European Commission’s Action Plan, industry-driven efforts including the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, and the ambitious plans of global financial services firms to channel capital towards addressing environmental, social and governance issues. Reflecting on these achievements and looking at the challenges ahead, this roundtable showcased progress by both public and private sectors on mainstreaming sustainable finance.
