We are pleased to have hosted the IIF Global Macro Call on March 23, 2023. This month's session included a discussion on our views for the remainder of the year, including the risks of recession and the dynamics of inflation along with their potential implications for emerging markets.

This session took place the day after the Fed meeting, for which markets were pricing a high probability of a 50 bps hike just a short time ago. Robin Brooks, Managing Director and Chief Economist at the IIF, will discuss the Fed meeting, our outlook for the economy and inflation for the rest of the year and what that means for the Fed. The second half of the call will be devoted to China, where Louis Kuijs Chief Economist, Asia Pacific at S&P Global Ratings, will discuss the post-COVID reopening that has taken place, how significant the economic rebound is that is resulting and what it means for the rest of the world.
