IIF members from around the globe gathered in Marrakesh for our Annual Membership Meeting (AMM), which was held alongside the IMF/WB Annual Meetings. We hosted a special briefing to summarize what transpired in Marrakech, and provide an update on current developments, particularly in regulation and in the U.S. 

Clay Lowery, Executive Vice-President of Research and Policy, IIF and Richard Gray, Director of Regulatory Affairs, IIF addressed the following topics:

+ Key themes from the Annual Meetings in Marrakech, including trends in digital finance, climate risk, and a macroeconomic update
+ Regulatory outlook, including regional Basel III proposals and global outlook and timelines
+ State of play in the U.S., including the upcoming vote to fund the government, the race for Speaker of the House, and an early look at the 2024 election

Gene Ma, Head of China Research, IIF also joined the call to provide an update on China.
