In complement to the IIF s various regular regional CRO Fora, this inaugural global CRO Forum will be a 60-minute interactive discussion on Data Ethics and Conduct Risk . This subject emerged as one of the most prominent themes in last year s RiskMinds conference, and this year s accelerated trend of digitalization generated by COVID-19 has further amplified the importance of this issue.

The potential for data to be misused, along with the development and deployment of biased models, present new potential sources of conduct and reputational risk, and it is increasingly critical to clearly understand which specific data attributes need the greatest level of protection. From an enterprise risk framework perspective, this also presents an emerging challenge in understanding the interplay or overlap between model risk (and model governance) and reputational risk.

This invite-only session will feature some opening brief remarks from selected Chief Risk Officers, with all members of the IIF s global CRO network encouraged to share their views. To register, please contact Mina Loldj at [email protected].
