This Summit will be co-hosted by the Institute of International Finance (IIF), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and the South East Asian Central Banks Centre (SEACEN) on Monday, May 27 through Tuesday, May 28.

The focus of this year s summit is on the intersection of AI, the cloud, and financial services. Society, governments, and the financial services industry have spent the last year exploring the implications of new Artificial Intelligence (AI) developments. This event will highlight key issues, consider solutions, and explore adjacent topics such as data, resilience, and security.

Speakers will share insights into:

+ AI and machine learning technology innovation; rise of Generative AI and Large Language Models
+ Cloud s role in delivering AI, cloud enablers, AI delivery/development modalities
Contemporary shifts in technology-driven transformations reshaping financial services
Evolving frameworks to harness the benefits of AI and manage risks
Risks environment for AI and Cloud and how they interact
Multi-jurisdictional applications of AI tools via the cloud and the ability to adapt to local requirements and restrictions (local and cross-border data sharing frameworks)

This in-person event will feature industry leaders and key policymakers discussing advancements in AI and sharing their approaches to familiar and new challenges through a mix of presentations, roundtables, and keynotes. The program is designed to share insights, answer questions, and build connections. Proceedings will be informed by a forthcoming IIF staff paper exploring AI, data, the cloud, and financial services in the Asia-Pacific region, and the 2023 IIF-EY AI & Machine Learning Survey.

In addition, the Summit will be preceded by interactive breakout sessions to complement the main agenda and a Welcome Reception on Monday, May 27.
