On June 11 at 9:30am EDT we hosted an in-depth discussion about China’s financial opening, particularly the opportunities and challenges for foreign investors. Questions tackled by the panelists included: Is China on track to lift equity caps for foreign holdings of financial institutions? How to compare QFII and Stock Connect as entry channels? What opportunities and risks does one find in China’s bond market? Are A-shares a good diversification for global investors? Can global investors gain access to China’s commodities and financial derivatives markets as well as to margin and securities lending?
