As COP28 transpires and the harmful effects of climate change become increasingly apparent, the need for large-scale funding for adaptation and mitigation projects and initiatives, particularly in emerging economies, is growing. This need calls for significant contributions from both public and private investors.

We were pleased to participate in two events focused on the potential of blended finance to mobilize private capital for climate action. These discussions explored the roles of various stakeholders in ensuring the success of blended finance transactions and delved into the opportunities and challenges of scaling blended finance.

Co-organized by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), these events were crafted as in-person networking opportunities. They aimed to bring together investors from diverse asset classes to facilitate dialogue, share knowledge and showcase best practices deploying blended finance approaches for climate action—particularly in sectors and economies most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
