We were delighted to host ‘Advancing Global Coordination on Sustainable Finance Policy,’ which is part of our “COP Talks” series. This series builds on the themes and ambitions of the upcoming COP26, which will be held in Glasgow on November 1 - 12. The financial services industry is an integral player in the quest to achieve a net-zero economy and to support broader sustainable development goals, and our COP Talks will cover some of the toughest yet most important issues facing the industry.

The G20 and other global governance bodies and standard setters are moving rapidly to bring coherence to a complex international landscape for sustainable finance, in areas including economic policy, climate risk and disclosure, taxonomy, ESG data and incentivizing private sector action—both on net zero goals and on scaling sustainable capital flows. How should policymakers and regulators approach this task, and where are the best opportunities to forge more effective public-private sector partnerships?
