Jan Friederich

Jan Friederich is the head of Fitch’s Europe, Middle East and Africa sovereign rating team and also overseas the team handling supranational ratings. He previously led Fitch’s MEA sovereign coverage. Before joining Fitch he spent most of his career at the Economist Intelligence Unit, covering Western Europe, the US and global economic questions. He started his studies at the Free University of Berlin and holds Master’s Degrees in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and in Financial Economics from the University of London.
