Tamao Sasada is Japan Country Executive for Bank of America and also President and Representative Director for BofA Securities Japan. In her role, Ms. Sasada is responsible for the execution of Bank’s strategy, business activities and governance for Japan. She also serves as a member of Bank of America’s APAC Executive Committee. Her focus is to drive business growth through enhancing client relationships in Japan and in the region, assisting clients with various strategic needs, such as capital raising, funding diversification and M&A opportunities. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1998, Ms. Sasada worked at Legal Department of Itochu Corporation where she engaged in project finance transactions and subsequently from 1995 to 1998 she worked in New York as a corporate lawyer at Skadden Arps and Milbank Tweed. ​ Tamao serves as a member for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “Tokyo Green Finance Initiative” supporting Tokyo Metropolitan’s ESG initiative, and she also supports Japan Securities Dealers Association with its sustainable finance initiatives. Executive Committee Member at International Banking Association in Japan. Active in driving empowerment of female leaders, serves as a member of Global Diversity & Inclusion Council for Bank of America and Co-chair of APAC Tamao has a degrees in law from Keio University and Sydney University.
