Nicole Röttmer

Dr. Nicole Röttmer is a Deloitte Partner, and Managing Director of Deloitte Sustainability & Climate, and DSC’s innovation leader. She drives and advises on business transformation for profitable sustainability. Having served more than 150 corporate transformations across sectors and geographies, she is building on more than 20 years of sustainability experience, with a focus on strategic transformation, risk and value creation, esp. in the climate, biodiversity and circularity topics, and digital solutions. Nicole has a track record in (co-)developing new ecosystem and client solutions for assessing the financial impact and net zero pathways for climate change. These include Climate Excellence (SAP Pinnacles Award), the Stranding Tool (“Sustainability Project 2019” award by the German Council for Sustainable Development), the Pathways to Paris toolkit on corporate and financial sector transformation planning and controlling, and a company-level net zero technology business case assessment tool, with WWF, co-funded by BMWK, and ~90 real economy and financial services clients. As advisor and expert, Nicole is and has been serving a range of ecosystem actors. These include corporate Boards, the European Commission, UNEP FI, GFANZ, Race to Zero, the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany (ASCG), WWF, and CDP. She is a Board Member of the Sustainable Finance Research Group, and an Honorary Research Affiliate to Oxford University.
