Verónica Frisancho

Verónica Frisancho is the Chief Economist of CAF, the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean. Before joining CAF, Verónica worked for more than 10 years as a Lead Economist in the Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Verónica's work can best be described as applied microeconomics and her main field of specialization is Development Economics. Her research in these areas includes an emphasis on education, labor markets in developing countries, gender, inclusion, and financial education. Verónica has a Ph.D. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University and a BA in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Peru.
