Masahiro Kihara

Masahiro Kihara serves as the President and Group CEO of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. since February 2022. He has considerable financial experience within Mizuho group, ranging from corporate banking products to risk governance, financial planning, among related other areas. Prior to  taking up his current position, he had served in senior management roles for over 10 years, including Managing Executive Officer for strategic planning and finance control across both Mizuho’s banking and security arms. He holds an LLA from the Duke University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws from Hitotsubashi University.
