Jo joined Westpac Banking Corporation in 2003 and was appointed Group Treasurer in September 2020. In this role, she is responsible for Westpac’s treasury operations including balance sheet management, group liquidity, global wholesale funding, capital management and execution and all on balance sheet risk management. As Group Treasurer, Jo oversees teams located in Sydney, London, Singapore and New York. She is responsible for managing the underlying risks associated with the Bank’s asset and liability portfolios, primarily interest rate risk and foreign exchange risk. Jo is also responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of the Bank's wholesale funding, within the parameters of a prudent liquidity management framework. This role includes maintaining and enhancing the Bank’s wholesale funding franchise through strong relationships with investors in markets across the globe. Prior to being appointed Group Treasurer, Jo has held several roles in Westpac including Deputy Group Treasurer(appointed 2008)and CFO Westpac Institutional Bank. Before joining Westpac, Jo spent seven years at Insurance Australia Group (IAG) in the Asset Management division in fixed income portfolio management roles. Prior to that, Jo began her career at Bankers Trust Australia Limited. Master of Science, London Business School (Sloan 2019)In 2019 Jo studied at London Business School undertaking the prestigious Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy program, a 12-month full time program designed for experienced, high-caliber, global executives focused on achieving organizational impact. Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Accounting and Finance, Macquarie University (1999). Jo is also Australian Financial Markets Association accredited.
