Jonah Rosenthal was a Senior Research Analyst in the Global Macroeconomics Department. Prior to joining the IIF, Jonah spent four years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its Middle East and Central Asia Department. While at the IMF, he took part on missions to Kazakhstan and Palestine, during which he worked to assess structural reforms-related initiatives, analyze currency mismatch, and verify national accounts statistics. His areas of interest include political economy, diversification, financial stability, and diaspora-home country ties.

Education

Jonah holds a master’s degree in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, as well as a bachelor’s degree in History of Science from Yale. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and proficient in Japanese.
