Senior Policy Associate

Ana Chkhaidze is a Senior Policy Associate with the IIF Global Policy Initiatives department. In this role, she is responsible for analyzing and addressing a broad range of sustainable finance policy issues. In addition, she supports delivering strategic projects, reports, and consultation responses on sustainable finance topics within the IIF.

Prior to joining the IIF, Ana worked at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia (MOESD) for around 6 years. As the Head of the Economic Reforms Division at MOESD, Ana played a pivotal role in driving critical economic reforms in Georgia, such as the Credit Guarantee Scheme reform, Pension Reform, PPP reform, Insolvency Reform, Secured Transaction Reform, KYC reform, and Mining Sector Reform. As a member of the Model Builders Team at MOESD and GIZ (The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) joint project, Ana played a crucial role in developing a macro-econometric e3.ge (Economy, Energy, Emissions, Georgia) model, which assesses economy-wide impacts of climate change and adaptation measures.

Ana also served as a Research Analyst at the International Finance Corporation's (IFC), Geneva Finance Research Institute's (GFRI), and the Swiss Lab for Sustainable Finance's (SL4SF) joint project, focusing on studying Sustainability and Impact Measurement Practices.

Education

Ana is a Fulbright scholar for the academic year 2021-22. She obtained her MAE degree in Economics with a Concentration in Financial Economics from Kent State University (KSU). Additionally, Ana holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Economics from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) in Georgia.
