Nathalie Chavez joined the IIF in 2023 as the Program Assistant in the Regulatory Affairs department. She is responsible for handling the correspondence and logistics of meetings and projects with several working groups and committees, such as the Sustainable Finance Policy Experts Group (SFPEG), as well as updating related databases.

Nathalie comes from an extensive background in foreign affairs and economics, having worked closely with professors at both the Keck Center for International and Strategic Studies and the Financial Economics Institute. She returns to D.C. after having previously served as a Communications Intern for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.

Education

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from Claremont McKenna College where she was a Wagener Family Global Scholar. Her senior thesis was titled "Balancing Trade and Security during the US-China Trade War: A Gravity Model Approach to South Korea's Relations with the United States and China."
