Serena Chen joined the IIF in 2023 as a Program Assistant in the Global Policy Initiative department. In this role, she provides administrative support to the Managing Director, including coordinating meetings, arranging schedules, and developing research notes. Her research interests encompass sustainable finance, ESG considerations, and social impact.
Prior to this role, Serena served as the Communications Manager at IFX Academy, a Shanghai-based social enterprise, where she spearheaded a rural revitalization program in Hangzhou, China. She collaborated closely with local NGOs, government entities, media outlets, and client counterparts, resulting in the formulation of a sustainable growth strategy roadmap for local tourism.
Education
Serena Chen holds a M.S. in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Accounting from Nanjing Forestry University in China.
