We are delighted to host the upcoming IIF Global Debt Monitor to be held on Tuesday, May 7.
Our program will feature a brief staff presentation highlighting the main takeaways from our flagship report, "Global Debt Monitor: Navigating the New Normal." Following the presentation, our panel of experts will examine the outlook for growth, inflation and monetary policy, and discuss implications for global debt and credit markets. We will take a closer look at megatrends shaping debt markets, including demographics, the transition to clean energy, and geoeconomic fragmentation, as well as persistently high fiscal deficits and debt in major economies including the U.S. and China. The conversation will also cover sovereign debt strains in emerging and developing economies in the context of ongoing efforts to enhance the international debt architecture, including the work of the G20-IMF-World Bank Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable.
