As nearly 60 countries head to the polls this year and geopolitical tensions evolve, 2024 may be a year defined by turbulence, transition, and transformation. Understanding the potential developments and the implications for a stable global financial system will be critical.

The IIF Global Outlook Forum, held in Washington, DC alongside the World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings, was a comprehensive exploration of the shifting global geopolitical and economic landscape, with a special focus on Emerging Markets. Officials, thought leaders, policymakers, and market participants shared key insights - discussing trends, risks, and opportunities that will shape 2024 and beyond. We were joined by policymakers, regulators, and global financial firms for insightful discussions and a deeper understanding of the forces driving the world's economic and political trajectory. The Forum concluded with an evening reception and US Policy Program Dinner for attendees.
