Acclaimed author Chris Skinner joins us on FRT to discuss his latest book, Doing Digital. Chris went behind the scenes at JP Morgan, BBVA, ING, DBS & China Merchants Bank, identifying some of the key challenges and success factors in their digitalization efforts.

Chris’s findings parallel those of the IIF-Deloitte Realizing the Digital Promise first report  first report, emphasizing the need to view digital technology as fundamental for reorienting businesses, rather than as a stand-alone channel or product set. He also stresses the critical role of leadership in changing cultures and successfully effecting transformative change.

We also discuss the industry’s adaptation to the realities of the COVID-19 situation, and the likelihood of enduring changes to banks’ operations post-COVID, rather than a return to the same ‘old normal’.
