IIF GRU Podcast: Discussing the Bank of Japan’s Financial Stability Outlook with Hitoshi Mio

Hitoshi Mio, Head of Financial System Research Division Financial System and Bank Examination Department within the Bank of Japan, joins Katie Rismanchi and Takahiro Iwamoto of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) to share the Bank of Japan’s perspectives on the financial stability outlook.

During the episode, Hitoshi discusses the Bank of Japan’s April 2021 Financial System Report, which covers several important conjunctural and structural topics affecting the Japanese and global financial system – including the impact of COVID-19, risks emerging outside of the banking system, and structural changes in the financial services sector including digital transformation, the response to climate-related risks and interest rate benchmark reform.
