FRT Podcast Episode 2: Sharing and Safeguarding Data

In Episode 2, we examine the principles and practices that banks have historically pursued in safeguarding customers' data, and how these relate to new data sharing requirements such as Europe's PSD2. We also examine asymmetries in how data sharing frameworks apply to different types of entities (and the potential competitive imbalances that may ensue) as well as the protection for customers on transactions instigated via third parties.
' Looking ahead, our next FRT episode will look at the role of Machine Learning as part of banks and insurers' Risk Management practices, specifically examining the key findings of the IIF's recent survey of 58 banks and 2 mortgage insurers on their adoption of various machine learning techniques in their credit risk modelling and management.
