This briefing note summarizes the April IIF Digital Asset Forum, respecting that the forum is conducted under the Chatham House Rule and does not represent the official position of the IIF or its membership. This session discussed distinctions between tokenized assets and digitally native instruments, including how existing forms of money could potentially be made technologically superior. The business model considerations of costs, accessibility, and efficiency for the financial industry as it examines new forms of money were discussed, along with KYC/AML needs in a digital system. The IIF convenes the Digital Asset Forum with our knowledge partner, the Oliver Wyman Forum.
