Policy Advisor

Mahmoud Medhat is currently a secondee at the IIF, coming from the Commercial International Bank of Egypt (CIB). He has 10 years of work experience in the field of Treasury and Capital Markets at CIB, where he holds the position of an Associate Director-Fixed Income and Money Markets. At CIB, he manages the bank’s foreign and local currency liquidity through inter-bank market, managing the bank’s proprietary book in both foreign and local currency instruments, moreover he works on hedging the bank’s exposure through derivatives.


Mahmoud has a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Cairo University, ACI Dealing Certificate(The Financial Markets Association), Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from London School of Economics and Political Science, and is currently enrolled in MSc of Finance at Johns Hopkins University.
